A few months ago I reported on the superb “A War of the Worlds” by Theatre in the Dark. I’m pleased to announce the impending arrival of A Christmas Carol in the Dark, directed and adapted by Mack Gordon from the Dickens story, which will stream as live performances between December 10 – 24, 2020. The shows will run Thursdays through Sundays and tickets are pay what you can with a $25 – $30 suggested donation, Tickets on sale now at www.theatreinthedark.com.
Chicago actor and mindset coach Tony Rossi is hosting a free coaching giveaway – giving away 100 sessions before the end of 2020. He loves helping actors gain confidence so they can endure rejection, stop comparing, get through their go throughs, and stop feeling so far behind.
As Tony himself says: “If you’re sick and tired of waiting until you’ve “made it” to be happier – schedule a free 1 on 1 mindset & clarity call!” You can also DM Tony on Instagram @tony.rossi if you have any questions, or visit www.tonyrossicoaching.com.”
I suspect at this point that most of us are getting used to streaming entertainment in our homes. One thing that elevates the experience is fine food and drink. I favor grazing menus, myself, which is why I am fond of charcuterie boards. I’ve mentioned the bottles from Red & White wines of Bucktown on this show several times and I also feel the need to give a nod to their charcuterie set and other pantry goods. Their offerings change frequently, but the items are always tasty. [As of November 29, 2020, the set mentioned in this episode is no longer available, though some components are.] Red & White offers pickup and delivery options (no in-store shopping at this time) and you can visit them online at RedandWhiteWinesChicago.com.
Tune in to Playtime every Sunday from 1-3 PM on WCGO, 1590 AM and 95.9 FM in Chicago, streaming live online and through many radio apps.
